In his novel Les Voyageurs du Temps, Sollers quotes a lot from the archives of Nag Hamadi. For Gnostics, Relief comes as knowledge when man hears and incarnates Word. Word incarnated, Death, and Resurrection are not only limited to Christ, but also happen repeatedly for all who have replied to the call of Word. Philippe Sollers, in his writings, practices lots of citations from the beginning of his career. It seems that he reinterprets his method of writing in the light of Gnosis. When he quotes from his favorite authors, he incarnates Word.
